Renting to a prospect from Home has never been easier, or more important

Never miss a rental. Especially during your initial rent-up.

Cloud-based software, e-sign, and electronic payments make it possible to rent, take payments, and a whole host of other tasks from just about anywhere. And don't forget about an easy-to-use website for online rentals, and onsite kiosks!

I rented a unit to a customer from the comfort of my home last week. Here's how:

Our Saturday Manager called out and I couldn't be onsite to cover, so instead, I had the office phone forwarded to my cell phone. I received a call from a prospective customer from one of our company stores looking for prices of a 10x10 unit. I could have easily dismissed her and had her call the Manager on Monday to answer her questions. Instead, I hopped on my computer, logged into our cloud-based customer management software, and rented her a unit.

It took no time at all, I used the script just like the manager in the office would have, and it made for a smooth and easy customer experience- and they had no idea I wasn't in the office! ( haha - I think Marc owes me dinner)

Of course, this is typically meant for owners- not managers. The last thing we want is for managers to think they can work remotely- but for an owner, this is an important thing to know how to do- especially during your initial rent-up period where EVERY rental counts. And if you're not at home and you talk to a customer, an added bonus is you can always remind them they can rent online with ease on your website, or from the convenient kiosk onsite.
