I asked my best friend if he wanted to partner with me when I built my first self storage. He said no, but maybe after I had a track record. When I built my second, I asked again and still got a no. Big huge mistake. I have doubled and redoubled my original investment 6 times. Do the paperwork that huge.
I did not ask when I built my third facility. Now, regularly, I get people who ask me if I want to partner with them.
