You never know exactly what to expect from one day to the next. From unpredictable and unique customer questions, so one-off situations (like the time college kids dumped trash over our fence on my 2nd day on the job), every day is different. The last thing we want to do is to leave our Manager's unprepared and left hanging. Here are a few ways that Storage Authority supports the day to day operations rock stars that our Managers are!
1. A Manual For Everything
Ok, almost everything. We call our manuals Dynamic for a reason. We're constantly updating and adding to our Manuals because we believe that improvement is essential to success. It's also how we stay on the forefront of the industry. We also believe that there is much to learn from each unique situation that can help the next person. Our Managers have manuals at their fingertips for quick reference that include easy to follow tips, directions, and photos/screenshots to make completing the task easy and efficient. Our manuals are kept current and are accessible 24/7 on our online Command Center database.
2. Ongoing Tips and Training
From weekly Quick Tips, monthly Master Classes on Zoom, virtual Storage Authority University, monthly newsletters and more, our managers are continually provided with resources designed to help them improve quality and efficiency in all aspects of the job. Recently we've made an effort to make it even easier by adding in easy to follow actionable items, and we're seeing faster, easier, and more consistent implementation than ever. We record all of our Zoom trainings, and all of our training materials are put onto our Command Center for reference and sharing with new or relief managers to ensure that no one is missing out on this valuable information.
3. Access to experts
Sometimes, all the manuals and training and resources just can't quite get you the answer you need. Lucky for our managers, they've got access to experts in the field to help navigate even the stickiest situations. Wether it's on of our expert team members, or one of our awesome vendors, we're happy to help. We love the conversations we have on our bi-weekly manger calls. The feedback we get directly from our managers often drives our tips and trainings so that we can quickly offer guidance and deliverables that have an impact.
