INTERVIEW WITH NEW FRANCHISEES, RICK AND MIKE, FROM NEW JERSEY

Rick and Mike,

We are excited to welcome you as a new Storage Authority Franchise owner. Thanks for taking the time to share a little why you chose self- storage and Storage Authority?


Question : Are you excited to get started and how many hours a week are you planning on spending looking for land to make your self-storage goals come true?


Rick: Yes, Mike and I are very excited to get started. We are spending roughly 15-20 hours per week combined looking for properties. We are in contact with a handful of commercial brokers which we have found helpful. We are also using various websites, such as LoopNet and Crexi, to find possible locations.

Question: What was the major reason you chose self-storage and decided to team up with Storage Authority?

Rick: The stable cash flow is what attracted us to self-storage, along with the extremely low default rates relative to other forms of real estate investment. We decided to team up with Storage Authority due to their proven track record and specific process they have in place to help Mike and I overcome any obstacles we may encounter along the way.

Question: How did your impression of self-storage and franchising change from the beginning to the end of the Storage Authority Discovery Process?

Rick: We were very impressed overall, and as Mike and I progressed through the discovery process we realized the time and effort Marc put into developing the Storage Authority strategy.

  Question: Do you have any recommendations to improve the Storage Authority discovery process?

Rick:  Not at this time.

Question: Most Franchisee owners get started because self-storage can be the major catalyst for Wealth (Time & Money). Can you share one or two reasons or goals why you are willing to commit your time for a second income?

Rick: Both Mike and I have young children, and we would like to spend more time watching them grow up, and passive income will help us achieve this goal. Mike and I are excited to be a part of the Storage Authority team, and most of all we like the fact we are in business for ourselves, but not by ourselves.
