Due to being flooded out, I got several new life adventures including the first time I ever rented self storage and the first time in 40 years since I used a laundromat.
$9.50 for a single load - WOW. And $3.00 a load to dry. Now I see why Laundromats are so profitable. One machine makes more profit in a day than a 10 x 10 unit makes in a month. Of coourse you might need to own 20 Laundromats t equal the profit of one self storage.
Self storage rental rates are way too low!!!!
I went to a self-storage near my home, which was 100% full. I asked how long it has been full - thinking it was full because of the Helena & Milton Hurricanes and flood. But they are always full. ($100 for a 10 x 10) Self storage rates are way too low!
They were nice enough too help me find a self storage unit. The closest place was 30 minutes away in no man's land.
The place had a driven-in aisle to get to the cc units. It was 7 pm when I arrived and we had the whole place to ourselves. I could not believe the price was just $60 for a 10 x 10 climate control. (crazy even for a facility in the rent-up process or an internet teaser rate). And while they said renters insurance was mandatory as soon as I said I did not need it they took it off the price. Self storage rental rates are way too low!!!!
A couple more days of dealing with the floods and then back to enjoying life.
To Your Success,
Marc
