1) If you are like me you want your self-storage full, your coffee cup full in the morning, and your wine glass full at night.
2) Not every cup of coffee, bottle of wine or self-storage costs the same price. DD coffee is $2.50 and Star Bucks is $ 6.50+ The house wine is $8.00 a glass but somehow the waiter always convinced me to pay 50% more and get the $12.00 glass of wine. I have learned the art of presentation and soft persuasion so Storage Authority facilities are premium facilities ( with premium rates)
3) All three better be preparing for the future if they want to enjoy their current success. I went to a Tim Hortons (Canadian equivalent to DD) drive-through yesterday and ordered 3 coffees. Not a single one was made right and none were difficult. 2 were the wrong size and two had the wrong coffee/sugar mix. Plain and simple it is often very hard to find staff or staff that care.
If you are building self-storage you need a rental kiosk. And now may be the time to upgrade to have it in an entrance vestibule. I am far from suggesting every facility should be unmanned but a kiosk is a must. it is great for pre and post-hours. And a godsend for busy owners and renters when staff is on vacation or when they quit. Or maybe your facility is full and it's time to reduce the week day manned hours and run the weekend un manned.
Here are the newest kiosks from Open tech - so cool!
