Maybe because over 1,000 people a day are moving to Florida. Versus states like CA which lost over 117,000 people last year.
Maybe because you keep more of your profits because there is no state income tax. Versus states like CT with a 5% state income tax. Don't even mention CA, a state income tax over 10%.
Maybe because the rental rates are great. There are states/areas where you simply can not build and make a profit because a 10 x 10 rents for $100.
Maybe because many of the Florida facilities are operated by REIT's which means rental rates typically go up at least yearly versus areas made up of just mom & pops who are full and have not raised rents in years.
Maybe because I live in FL. Much easier to operate a facility close to home.

Maybe because of the great Florida weather. All though not being a native I travel all summer long to avoid the summer heat.
