Interview with our newest Storage Authority Franchise owner, William from Arizona.



  We ask our new owners now that they have completed the discovery process and are looking for land, could they please share a little bit about their experience of getting through the discovery and why they choose to become a Storage Authority Franchise owner?






Question 1:   Are you excited to get started?   And how many hours a week are you planning on spending looking for land to make your self-storage goals come true?

Answer:  Yes, very excited! 20 – 30 hours per week.


Question: 2 What was the major reason you choose self-storage and decided to team up with Storage Authority?

Answer: Have always been attracted to the idea of one day owning a self-storage facility. During research to make this dream a reality, I came across Storage Authority and liked the idea of partnering up with an industry expert in self-storage development as a franchisee. Based on my previous experiences as a franchisee owner, I could understand the benefits that a franchisor can provide to reduce business risks, shorten the learning curve, and improve ROI.

Question: 3  How did your impression of self-storage and franchising change from the beginning to the end of the Storage Authority Discovery Process?

Answer:  I could visualize a path to realizing my goal of becoming a self-storage owner and real estate investor by partnering up with people who have truly “been there, done that”.

Question: 4  Do you have any recommendations to improve the Storage Authority discovery process?

Answer:  Tools to help you better understand the land supply in the area for consideration and the corresponding “Bell Curve” of the cost per acre to acquire land that fits the Storage Model of Success.

Question: 5 Most Franchisee owners get started because self-storage can be the major catalyst for Wealth (Time & Money). Can you share one or two reasons or goals why you are willing to commit your time for a second income?

Answer:  My wife and I, wanted to continue to diversify our wealth portfolio and we like the combination of being business owners and real estate investors. Creating an additional cash flow source for our future retirement as well as increasing our personal wealth via land acquisition and self-storage development checked the boxes pertaining to our personal portfolio goals.


Do you mind leaving future Storage Authority owners a quick quote as to why you chose to become a self-storage owner in our franchise system?
