In the fast-moving self-storage industry of 2026, simply "opening your doors" isn't enough to guarantee success. With rising land costs and a more crowded market, the difference between a facility that stays 90% full and one that struggles with 70% occupancy often comes down to one thing: Competitive Intelligence.


If you aren't regularly stepping out of your office to see what the facility down the street is doing, you're essentially flying blind. 1. It Reveals Your "Unique Selling Proposition" (USP)

You can’t know why a customer should choose you unless you know exactly what they’re being offered elsewhere.
